ÜNAL: `DİYANETİ KAPATMAK TEHLİKELİ VE SAKINCALI BİR GİRİŞİMDİR

Türk Diyanet Vakıf-Sen Genel Başkanı Nuri Ünal, Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığının Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devletinin göz bebeği bir kurum olduğunu belirterek, "Bu kurumu kaldırmaya çalışmak son derece tehlikeli, sakıncalı ve anlamsız bir girişimdir" dedi.

Ünal, teşkilat çalışmalarına katılmak, bazı ziyaretlerde bulunmak amacıyla geldiği Adana`da, Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığının, toplumda bütün vatandaşları kucaklayarak, son din olan İslam`ın doğru anlaşılmasını ve anlatılmasını sağlayan güzide bir kurum olduğunu ifade etti.

Bazı kesimlerin yeni anayasa hazırlık çalışmaları sürecinde Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığının kaldırılması yönünde çalışmalar yaptığını belirten Ünal, "Diyanet İşleri, Türkiye`nin çok önemli bir kurumudur. Bu kurumu kaldırmaya çalışmak son derece tehlikeli, sakıncalı ve anlamsız bir girişimdir. 140 bin çalışanı olan, toplumda en ücra köşeye kadar din hizmeti götüren, ayrımsız tüm insanları kucaklayan, insanlar arasında barış, kardeşlik ve hoşgörü tohumları ekmeye çalışan bu kurumu kaldırmak isteyenleri tekrar düşünmeye, mantıklı olmaya davet ediyorum" dedi.

Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığının, Milli Mücadele`ye katkı sağlamış ve büyük hizmetler etmiş bir kurum olduğunu vurgulayan Ünal, şöyle devam etti: "Başkanlığın kuruluşu sırasında cumhuriyetimizin kurucusu Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, cumhuriyetin iki ordusunun olduğunu, bunlardan birincisinin manevi ordu olan Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, diğerinin de maddi ordu olan Genelkurmay Başkanlığı olduğunu söylemiştir. Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devletinin göz bebeği bir kurumdur. Anayasal bir kurum olarak ve daha da güçlendirilerek devam etmesi gereklidir. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk`ün kurarak bizlere emanet ettiği bu güzide kurumu kapatma gibi yanlışlığa da hiçbir iktidar tevessül edemez diye düşünüyorum."
