ürk Diyanet Vakıf-Sen Genel Başkan Nuri Ünal, bazı kesimlerin yeni anayasa hazırlık çalışmaları sürecinde Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı`nın kaldırılması yönünde çalışmalar yaptığını belirterek, "Diyanet İşleri, Türkiye`nin çok önemli bir kurumudur. Bu kurumu kaldırmaya çalışmak son derece tehlikeli, sakıncalı ve anlamsız bir girişimdir." dedi.
 
Ünal, teşkilat çalışmalarına katılmak, bazı ziyaretler yapmak ve sendika üyeleriyle görüşmeler, istişareler yapmak amacıyla Adana`ya geldi. Ünal, Türkiye Kamu Sen binasında yaptığı toplantıda, Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı`nın toplumda bütün vatandaşları kucaklayarak, son din olan İslam`ın doğru anlaşılmasını ve anlatılmasını sağlayan güzide bir kurum olduğuna dikkat çekti. Ünal, bazı kesimlerin yeni anayasa hazırlık çalışmaları sürecinde Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı`nın kaldırılması yönünde çalışmalar yaptığını hatırlatarak, "Diyanet İşleri, Türkiye`nin çok önemli bir kurumudur. Bu kurumu kaldırmaya çalışmak son derece tehlikeli, sakıncalı ve anlamsız bir girişimdir, kaldırmak isteyenleri tekrar düşünmeye, mantıklı olmaya davet ediyorum" diye konuştu.
